A Place of Hope, Healing, and Restoration

Safe Harbor Counseling Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing professional counseling from a Christian perspective at an affordable cost to individuals and families in Azle, Springtown, Weatherford, and surrounding communities where affordable and mental health services are not as accessible.

Founded in 2004, Safe Harbor was created with a simple but powerful belief: healthy individuals and families are the foundation of a stronger community.

We exist to be a place of refuge—a “safe harbor”—for those navigating life’s challenges, offering guidance, support, and hope for healing.

Daniel Tiblets

LCSW #67239

Board President

Daniel brings over 16 years of experience in community care, supporting individuals and families across complex systems including mental health, addiction, homelessness, public schools, and reentry. His early work mentoring youth transitioning out of foster care shaped both his commitment to social work and his leadership approach. Prior to his clinical career, he served as a General Manager and built a strong background in marketing—experience that now helps him guide Safe Harbor’s mission in alignment with the evolving needs of both its clients and the broader community.

Fran Simpson

LPC-S #72428

Program Manager

Fran’s leadership at Safe Harbor Counseling is grounded in her early hands-on experience working with domestic violence survivors during her internship at Safe Haven of Fort Worth, where she provided individual counseling and led educational groups. Her extensive career as a school counselor—spanning over two decades, including 8 years in Azle ISD—further strengthened her ability to support diverse clients. Additionally, her specialized training in EMDR equips her with advanced skills in trauma-focused therapy, enhancing her effectiveness as a leader in counseling services.
